                       JUDGMENT

Petitioner deals in adventure sports, including River Rafting. According to the petitioner, the firm of the petitioner is duly registered with Uttarakhand Tourism Development Board and the license for River Rafting has also been issued in the name of the petitioner. The said license has been cancelled vide order dated 20.07.2019.

2. Learned counsel for the petitioner submits that cancellation order was never communicated to the petitioner and petitioner could get hold of the said order only when he sought information under Right to Information Act. He has challenged the cancellation order on various grounds.

3. After arguing for a while, learned counsel for the petitioner confines his prayer and submits that

petitioner be permitted to make application for River Rafting License and the Competent Authority be directed to take decision on the said application at the earliest.

4. Having regard to the facts & circumstances of the case, the writ petition is disposed of with liberty to petitioner to make application for River Rafting License. If petitioner makes such an application within a period of two weeks from today, the Competent Authority shall consider petitioner's application and take appropriate decision thereupon, in accordance with law, within a period of six weeks from the date of receipt of application alongwith certified copy of this order.
