                            JUDGMENT

Heard learned counsel for the parties through video conferencing.

2. According to the petitioner, he was granted a contract for running a book stall at Haldwani Bus Station. The said contract was for a period of three years between 16.01.2017 till 15.01.2020; however, it was cancelled, vide order dated 10.05.2018 passed by Divisional Manager (Operations), Uttarakhand Transport Corporation, and consequential order dated 11.05.2018 passed by Assistant General Manager. Feeling aggrieved, petitioner approached this Court.

3. A Coordinate Bench of this Court passed an interim order on 11.06.2018 to the following effect:-

"Meanwhile, in case the petitioner has not been evicted already, the respondents are restrained from taking any coercive measure against the petitioner till the next date of listing."

4. From perusal of the impugned order, it is apparent that the contract granted to the petitioner was valid only till 15.01.2020, which period is over, long back. Thus, after expiry of the contract, no useful purpose would be served by keeping the writ petition pending.

5. Accordingly, writ petition is dismissed.
