Mr. Bharat Singh, Advocate for the petitioner.

The petitioner has preferred this writ petition praying for that an appropriate direction may be issued to the court of Settlement Officer Consolidation, Roorkee Haridwar, to expedite and conclude the hearing of the proceedings of Appeal No.228 of 2017-18, Shiv Kumar Sharma vs. Gayatri Devi Sharma and others, which is pending consideration before it, which was arising out of the provisions contained under Section 9A(2) of the Consolidation of Holdings Act.

After having heard the contentions raised by the counsel for the petitioner in the writ petition, and going through the order sheet of the aforesaid Appeal No.228 of 2017-18, Shiv Kumar Sharma vs. Gayatri Devi Sharma and others; preferred under Section 11(1) of the Consolidation of Act, this writ petition is being disposed of with a request to the Settlement Officer Consolidation, Haridwar, to decide the aforesaid Appeal under Section 11(1) of the Consolidation of Holdings Act; within a period of six months from the date of production of certified copy of this judgment, subject to the restrictions if any imposed because of the pandemic situation.

Subject to the above, the writ petition stands disposed of.
