Heard Mr. Subrata Sarkar, learned senior counsel for the appellants.

The original appeal has been filed challenging the order dated 26.02.2026 passed by learned Special Judge (CBI), West Tripura, Agartala in case No. Special (CBI) 06 of 2025 wherein the applicants pleaded their guilt of the offences and accordingly, they were convicted and sentenced to undergo simple imprisonment for one year each and to pay fine of Rs.50,000/- each under Section 120B IPC and to suffer simple imprisonment for one year each and to pay fine of Rs.1,00,000/- each under Section 420 IPC and to suffer simple imprisonment for one year each and to pay a fine of Rs.50,000/- each under Section 409 IPC and also to suffer simple imprisonment for one year each and to pay fine of Rs.2,00,000/- each under Section 3 of the Tripura Protection of Interests of Depositors (In Financial Establishments) Act. All the sentences were directed to run concurrently.

Mr. Sarkar, learned senior counsel sought for suspension of the said order of conviction and sentence dated 26.02.2026.

Mr. Sarkar, learned senior counsel also submits that already the appeal is admitted and earlier appellants were allowed to remain on bail till 06.04.2026 by the learned Special Judge (CBI) vide order dated 07.03.2026.

Mr. B. Majumder, learned Dy. S.G.I. submits that they may be allowed to file affidavit-in-opposition against the said petition.

The prayer of learned Dy. S.G.I. is allowed.

Affidavit-in-opposition may be submitted two days prior to the next date furnishing copy to the other side.

Let the matter be listed on 04.05.2026.

Meanwhile, the applicant-appellants are allowed to remain on bail till 04.05.2026 on submission of their fresh bond before the learned Special Judge (CBI) for said period with similar terms and condition as was passed by learned Special Judge (CBI) in the order dated 07.03.2026.

Communicate copy of this order to learned Special Judge.
