Heard Mr. Subrata Sarkar, learned senior counsel for the appellants.

The appeal has been filed challenging the order dated 26.02.2026 passed by learned Special Judge (CBI), West Tripura, Agartala in case No. Special (CBI) 06 of 2025 wherein the appellants pleaded their guilt of the offences and accordingly, they were convicted and sentenced to undergo simple imprisonment for one year each and to pay fine of Rs.50,000/- each under Section 120B IPC and to suffer simple imprisonment for one year each and to pay fine of Rs.1,00,000/- each under Section 420 IPC and to suffer simple imprisonment for one year each and to pay a fine of Rs.50,000/- each under Section 409 IPC and also to suffer simple imprisonment for one year each and to pay fine of Rs.2,00,000/- each under Section 3 of the Tripura Protection of Interests of Depositors (In Financial Establishments) Act. All the sentences were directed to run concurrently.

Challenging the said sentence, the present appeal has been filed.

Mr. Sarkar, learned senior counsel submits that the appeal is in time.

Mr. B. Majumder, learned Dy. S.G.I. appears for the respondents and accepts notice for them.

Considered the submission and perused the record.

The appeal is admitted for hearing.

Call for the record.

Registry is to prepare the paper book and list the matter in usual course.
