HON'BLE THE CHIEF JUSTICE MR. APARESH KUMAR SINGH

Order 25/06/2025 Crl. Rev. P. No.37 of 2025 also on board today arises out of the

common impugned judgment dated 07.05.2025 passed in Crl. Misc. No.105 of

2024 by the learned Judge, Family Court, Agartala, West Tripura.

Crl. Rev. P. No.36 of 2025 has been preferred by the petitioner-

son of the respondents, being aggrieved by the award of maintenance of

Rs.25,000/- per month (Rs.10,000/- per month to the father-respondent No.1

and Rs.15,000/- to the mother-respondent No.2).

Crl. Rev. P. No.37 of 2025 has been preferred by the father and

the mother for enhancement of the maintenance amount from Rs.25,000/- per

month to Rs.40,000/- per month originally claimed.

Mr. Anjan Kanti Paul, learned counsel, seeks to enter appearance

on behalf of the respondents in Crl. Rev. P. No.36/2025. He undertakes to file

Vakalatnama within two days.

Mrs. Sujata Deb (Gupta), learned counsel, assisted by Ms. Rumpa

Dey, learned counsel, seeks to enter appearance on behalf of the respondent-

son in Crl. Rev. P. No.37 of 2025. She undertakes to file Vakalatnama within a

week.

On being asked, learned counsel for both the parties agree that

since the dispute of maintenance is between the parents and the son, they

should engage in a mediation exercise. In that view of the matter, let the parties

appear on 10.07.2025 at 10:30 am before the learned Secretary, High Court

Legal Services Committee, Mediation Centre, High Court of Tripura. Upon

their appearance, the matter be placed before the learned Mediator for

undertaking the exercise.

Parties are expected to cooperate with an open mind in the

mediation proceedings and attend each of the sittings. Learned Mediator would

fix the dates for mediation as per the convenience of the parties. If the parties

come to an amicable settlement, the terms and conditions thereof be reduced in

writing under their joint signatures and be submitted along with the report

within four weeks thereafter.

List the matter on 13.08.2025 along with the report.

Let copy of the pleadings along with annexure of both Crl. Rev. P.

No.36 of 2025 and Crl. Rev. P. No.37 of 2025 be exchanged between learned

counsel for the parties within a week.
