Heard Mr. R. Datta, learned counsel appearing for the applicant.

Also heard Mr. S. Ghosh, learned Addl P.P. appearing for the

State-respondent.

The judgment passed by Ld. Sessions Judge, Gomati District,

Udaipur on 31.05.2024 in Case No. ST. 49 of 2021 and related sentence

passed thereupon in respect of the appellant are under challenge in this

appeal. Ld. Trial Court passed sentence of simple imprisonment for 6

months and to pay a fine of Rs.1000/- for commission of offence under

Section 4 of Dowry Prohibition Act and also to suffer simple

imprisonment for 1 year and to pay a fine of Rs.2000/- under Section

498A of I.P.C. against the present convict applicant. Considering the

quantum of sentence passed, Mr. S. Ghosh, learned Addl. P.P. did not

oppose the prayer of Mr. Datta, learned counsel who has submitted that

during trial both at pre-trial and post-trial stage she has been on bail

and therefore bail may be granted to her.

Considered.

The accused applicant Maya Shil @ Maya Rani Shil may remain on

bail on furnishing bond of Rs.20,000/- one surety of the like amount to

the satisfaction of Ld. Trial Court till disposal of this appeal.

Communicate the copy of this order immediately to the Ld. Trial

Court.

As requested, a copy of this order may be furnished to Mr. Datta,

learned counsel appearing for the applicant.

I.A. is accordingly disposed of.
