HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE ARINDAM LODH 18.01.2024 Order

This is a contempt application filed by the petitioner against the respondent-contemnors for alleged disobedience of the judgment and order dated 17.11.2022, passed by this Court in WP(C) 25 of 2021.

None appears for the petitioner.

Heard Mr. Raju Datta and Mr. Bidyut Majumder, learned counsel appearing respondent-contemnors.

Today when the matter is called out, Mr. Raju Datta, learned counsel appearing for the respondent-contemnor nos. 1, 2 and 3 has produced a communication dated 11.01.2024 made by the Treasury Officer, Agartala Treasury No.1 to the Branch Manager, SBI Bank, Agartala Branch showing that the payment of arrear pension of the petitioner has been made. An authorization letter dated 26.12.2023 issued by the Office of the Accountant General (A & E), Tripura, Agartala has also been enclosed to the said communication dated 11.01.2024. From the said authorization letter, it is found that enhanced family pension of the petitioner is payable from 01.12.2022 @ Rs.11,200/-. This Court vide its order dated 17.11.2022 had passed a direction upon the respondent-contemnors to sanction and release the family pension with effect from the month of December, 2022 in favour of the petitioner. From the authorization letter it transpires that the order has been complied with.

The communication dated 11.01.2024 and the authorization letter dated 26.12.2023 be kept on record for future reference if any.

In view of the aforesaid facts, the instant contempt application stands closed.
