Contempt petitioners are the original petitioners of the writ petition. They complained of non-compliance of the directions issued by this Court in the judgment dated 23.02.2021.

Learned Government Advocate Mr. Debalay Bhattacharjee appearing for the respondents on advance copy stated under instructions that the State Government has taken a decision to accept the judgment and not to challenge it. The steps are undergoing to implement the directions and for which purpose the State had already entered into correspondence with the Union Government and is in the process of forming a scheme for implementing the judgment.

List the matter on 04.10.2021.
