Judgement Date : 13 July, 2021
HIGH COURT OF TRIPURA
AGARTALA
IA NO. 1 of 2021 in WP(C) 240 of 2016
For Applicant(s) : Mr. D. Bhattacharjee, GA.
For Respondent(s) : None.
HON'BLE MR. JUSTICE S. TALAPATRA
Order 13.07.2021
Heard Mr. D. Bhattacharjee, learned GA who is appearing for the
applicant in this matter.
It is unfortunate that despite six months time was provided for
adopting appropriate policy and for identifying the post for reservation in
Tripura Engineering Service in terms of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities
Act, 2016.
It has been stated by Mr. Bhattacharjee, learned GA that Inter
Departmental consultations are going on and thereafter appropriate decision
would be taken. This court is constrained to observe that for the state, six
months' time is not enough for Inter Departmental consultations.
Be that as it may, taking a very lenient view, a two months' time
is granted further to the respondents for implementing the directions as
contained in the judgment and order dated 08.01.2021 delivered in WP(C)240
of 2016. The two months' time shall start from today.
It is made absolutely clear that no further accommodation or
extension of time for the same purpose will be provided by this court.
In terms of the above, this application stands allowed.
