B. Lakshmi Bai vs Ssri Anudeep Durishetty, Ias on 16 April, 2026

Author: K. Lakshman
Bench: K. Lakshman
IN THE HIGH COURT FOR THE STATE OF TELANGANA
                AT: HYDERABAD
            HON'BLE SRI JUSTICE K. LAKSHMAN
              CONTEMPT CASE No.1133 OF 2025

                         DATE: 16-04-2026
Between:
Mrs. B. Lakshmi Bai .. Petitioner
                                   Vs.
Mr. Anudeep Durishetty, IAS .. Respondent

      This Court made the following:

ORDER (ORAL):

None appears for the petitioner.

2. Heard learned Assistant Government Pleader for Assignment

appearing on behalf of the respondent.

3. This Contempt Case is filed alleging willful and deliberate

violation of order dated 18.09.2024 in W.P. No.25578 of 2024.

4. Vide the aforesaid order, this Court disposed of the writ

petition, directing respondent No.2 to issue further clarification to

respondent No.3 therein to consider the application dated 17.08.2023

submitted by the petitioner under G.O.Ms.No.59, dated 30.12.2024

with respondent No.3 therein with a request to regularize the subject

property within four (04) weeks.

5. According to the petitioner, the same was not complied with.

6. Whereas, the respondent has filed counter contending that

the petitioner has filed an application seeking regularization of the

subject property under G.O.Ms.No.84, but not under G.O.Ms.No.59.

She is unaware of the G.O. under which she has to file application

seeking regularization of the property. She has not gone through the

proceedings dated 25.04.2024 of the Tahsildar, Nampally Mandal. It

is also further contended that a Division Bench of this Court granted

stay of operation of G.O.Ms.No.84 on 25.09.2023 in WP (PIL) No.68

of 2023 and the said PIL is still pending.

7. Though the counter was filed on 18.07.2025, the petitioner

has not filed any rejoinder adverting to the same.

8. In the light of the above discussion, this Court is of the

considered view that there is no violation, much less willful and

deliberate violation of the order under contempt. Therefore, this

contempt case is liable to be dismissed.

9. This Contempt Case is accordingly dismissed. In the

circumstances of the case, there shall be no order as to costs.

As a sequel thereto, miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in

the Contempt Case shall stand closed.
