Order

28/03/2026

1. The present misc. application has been filed seeking

correction/modification in the order dated 16.03.2026 passed by

this Court in S.B. Criminal Misc. Petition No.1911/2026.

2. It is submitted that while allowing the prayer of the

petitioner for release of the vehicle on supurdginama, the vehicle

registration number came to be mentioned incorrectly.

3. Upon consideration, it is noticed that in para 1 of the criminal

miscellaneous petition, the registration number of the vehicle was

mentioned as RJ-31-SU-6965 and the same came to be

incorporated in the order dated 16.03.2026. Thus, there was no

typographical error on the part of the court staff. However, as per

the pleadings in the present correction application, the said

registration number had not in fact been allotted to the vehicle

and the error had crept into the miscellaneous petition itself.

[2026:RJ-JD:14674] (2 of 2) [CRLMA-205/2026]

4. In view of the above, this Court is satisfied that the mistake

is purely clerical in nature and deserves to be corrected.

5. Accordingly, the present application is allowed. The vehicle

registration number mentioned in the order dated 16.03.2026

passed in S.B. Criminal Misc. Petition No.1911/2026 shall stand

deleted wherever appearing in the order, and the vehicle shall be

released on supurdginama on the basis of the chassis number and

engine number as already recorded.

6. The order dated 16.03.2026 stands modified to the aforesaid

extent.
