The matter comes upon an application for disposal of the writ

petition in view of the judgment dated 01.06.2022 passed in the

criminal case registered against the petitioner.

It has been submitted in the application that the

recommendation of the petitioner was not sent for Promotion

Cadre Course ('PCC') on account of the pendency of the criminal

case against him. However, he participated in the PCC by virtue of

the interim order dated 06.08.2020 but the result of the same has

been kept in a sealed cover. It has further been submitted that the

petitioner has been acquitted vide judgment dated 01.06.2022

and therefore, the result which has been kept in the sealed cover

may kindly be directed to be opened.

In view of the submissions made, the present writ petition is

disposed of with a direction to the respondent Authorities to open

the sealed cover containing the result of the petitioner qua his

promotion and if the petitioner is found successful then he may be

granted promotion keeping in view the law as applicable to him.

All the pending applications also stand disposed of.
