Learned counsel for the petitioner has submitted that
license for opening the liquor shop was issued to the
petitioner on 28.4.2022 and he started selling liquor from
29.4.2022. It is further submitted that the respondent -
Excise Department is demanding composite fees from the
petitioner for the whole month of April, 2022, whereas,
admittedly he has operated the liquor shop only for two
days in the month of April, 2022.

Issue notice. Issue notice of stay petition as well.
In the meantime, the respondent - Excise
Department is restrained from forcing the petitioner for
depositing the composite fees for the month of April,
2022.
However, the petitioner is required to pay the
composite fees for all the months after April, 2022.
