After hearing both the sides learned counsel for the
respondent was directed by this court to apprise the court about
practice of Central Board of Secondary Education and also check
whether a time limit of five years is prescribed therein or name
can be changed by the CBSE after lapse of time. He is also
directed for considering judgment of Jigya Yadav (Minor)
(Through Guardian/Father Hari Singh) Vs. CBSE (Central
Board of Secondary Education) & Ors. reported in 2021 7
SCC 535.
Learned counsel for the respondent Mr. Naveen Jain
requested for a short adjournment.
Prayer is allowed.
At the request of both the sides, list on 08.02.2022 at
2:00 PM for final disposal of the matter.
