1. By way of the present writ petition, the petitioner has sought

direction to the respondents to consider his certificate of Scout

under the category of outstanding sports person.

2. Mr. Idrish Mohd., learned counsel appearing for the

respondents while maintaining that there is no reservation for

outstanding sports persons, pointed out that the petitioner has

placed on record certificate of Scout and the same cannot be

considered to be an evidence of petitioner being an outstanding

sports person.

3. Upon perusal of the certificate (Annex.2), this Court finds

that the same has been issued in favour of the petitioner as a

Scout.

4. In considered opinion of this Court, the petitioner having

participated in Scouting activities, cannot claim himself to be an

outstanding sports person and consequential priority or

reservation in public employment.

5. There is no substance in the present writ petition, for which,

it is hereby dismissed.

6. The stay application also stands disposed of accordingly.
