   02.      1.       This matter is taken up through hybrid mode.

2. Grievance of the Petitioner, in this writ petition, is with regard to the inaction of the Special Land Acquisition Officer, Upper Indravati Irrigation Project, Kusumkhunti in the district of Kalahandi in disbursing compensation amount along with statutory dues in terms of judgment dated 6th September, 2019 passed by the learned Civil Judge (Senior Division) Bhawanipatna in L.A.R No.36 of 2019.

3. Taking into consideration the grievance of the Petitioner, this Court, vide order dated 3rd February, 2026, directed learned State Counsel to take instruction in the matter.

4. Mr. Dash, learned Additional Standing Counsel, on instruction, submits that the Director, R & R and Ex-Officio Special Secretary in the Department of Water Resources vide letter No.7676/WR dated 11th March, 2026, accorded sanction

for release of Rs.2,28,544/- (Rupees Two Lakh Twenty Eight Thousand Five Hundred Forty Four only) in favour of the Petitioner in terms of the judgment passed in LAR No.32 of 2019 in reference under Section 18 of the Land Acquisition Act 1894.

4.1. The written instruction so received is taken on record.

5. In view of the instruction received as stated above, the Special Land Acquisition Officer, Upper Indravati Irrigation Project, Kusumkhunti is directed to release the compensation amount so sanctioned in favour of the Petitioner as expeditiously as possible preferably by end of May, 2026, verifying his entitlement and acknowledging receipt of the same.

6. The writ petition is accordingly disposed of.

Urgent certified copy of this order be granted on proper application.
