01. 1. This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement (Virtual /Physical Mode).

2. Heard learned counsel for the Petitioner as well as learned counsel for the State-Opposite Parties. Perused the writ petition as well as the documents annexed thereto.

3. The present writ petition has been filed by the Petitioner with a prayer for a direction to the Opposite Parties to regularize the service of the Petitioner by quashing the impugned rejection order dated 16.07.2024 passed by the Opposite Party No.3 under Annexure-4 to the writ petition.

4. Learned counsel for the Petitioner further contended that initially the Petitioner was engaged in the year 1981. Thereafter he was conferred with a temporary status in terms of the Finance Department Resolution vide Office Order dated 05.02.2018

under Annexure-2 to the writ petition. Learned counsel for the Petitioner further drawing attention of this Court to the judgment of this Court in Gajendra Kumar Dash and others v. State of Odisha and others in W.P.(C) No.11441 of 2020 disposed vide judgment dated 07.02.20224 as well as the decision of the Hon'ble Apex Court in State of Odisha -vrs- Ayodhyanath Barik in SLP(C) Diary No.5399 of 2024 thereby confirming the judgment of this Court in Ayodhyanath Barik v. State of Odisha. Learned counsel for the Petitioner further submitted that the case of the Petitioner is squarely covered by the ratio laid down by this Court in the aforesaid cases.

5. Learned counsel for the State sought for some time to obtain instruction in the matter.

6. Accordingly, list this matter in the week commencing 21st April, 2025.
