05. 1. The matter is taken up in the 1st National Lok Adalat, 2025.

2. Mr. Satyabhusan Das, learned counsel for the appellant-

claimant and Mr. S. K. Mohanty, learned counsel for the

respondent No.2-Insurance Company are present.

3. The learned second M.A.C.T., Cuttack vide judgment dated

30.03.2022 passed in M.A.C. Case No. 494 of 2010 had dismissed

on contest against O.P. No. 2 with a NIL award as the petitioner did

not adduce any oral or documentary evidence to establish his claim.

4. This appeal has been filed by the claimants for payment of

compensation.

5. The memo in support of the compromise between the

appellants-claimants signed by Mr. Satyabhusan Das, learned

counsel and Mr. G. P. Dutta, learned counsel on behalf of the

respondent No.2- insurance company is available in the record.

6. It is now agreed by the appellant- claimant and respondent

no.2-Insurance company that a consolidated amount of

Rs.1,25,000/- (Rupees One Lakh Twenty-five Thousand only)

without any interest shall be paid by the Insurance Company to the

claimants within a period of eight weeks from today.

7. It is therefore directed that the Insurance Company shall deposit

the aforesaid consolidated amount of Rs.1,25,000/- (Rupees One

Lakh Twenty-five Thousand only) within a period of eight weeks

from today before the Tribunal. The amount shall be apportioned,

invested and disbursed to the appellants-claimants as per direction

of the learned Tribunal.

8. As the settlement is arrived at before the National Lok Adalat,

no court fee shall be levied.

9. The MACA is accordingly disposed of.
