5. 1. Mr. D.K. Mishra, learned counsel for the appellants confines his argument to the quantum of sentence the appellant has already undergone. He submits that the appellant has been convicted for the offences punishable under Sections 447/427/294/34 of the IPC and awarded sentence to pay fine of Rs.500/- (Rupees five hundred) each for the offence under Sections 294/447 of the IPC, in default of payment of fine, to undergo S.I. for three months each and for the offence under Section 427 of the IPC, they were sentenced to undergo S.I. for six months each and to pay fine of Rs.500/- (Rupees five hundred) each
and in default of payment of fine, to undergo further S.I. for three months each.
2. At the outset, Mr. Mishra, learned counsel submits that in view of the short sentence awarded by the learned trial Court, he would prefer to pray before this Court for grant of benefit of Probation of Offenders Act.
3. Ms. S. Devi, learned Additional Standing Counsel appearing for the State has no objection to the same.
4. Hearing is concluded and judgment is reserved.
