                                       -versus-

                                 Addl. Standing Counsel
                                CORAM:
                            JUSTICE S.K. SAHOO
                                   ORDER
Order No. 08.11.2024

   04. This matter is taken up through Hybrid

arrangement (video conferencing/physical mode).

As per the order dated 06.09.2024, learned counsel for the petitioner was supposed to file a comprehensive affidavit relating to the status of those nineteen criminal antecedents against the petitioner.

The mother of the petitioner has filed a comprehensive affidavit wherein she has mentioned that the petitioner has been acquitted in all those cases, however, not a single acquittal judgment has been annexed to the affidavit filed.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that since those are year old cases, records are not traced out for which it was not possible on the part of the

petitioner's mother to obtain the copy of the same. Since all those cases belong to Dhenkanal Town police station of different years, let the learned counsel for the State obtain instruction through the Inspector in-charge of Dhenkanal Town police station as to whether in those nineteen cases, the petitioner has been acquitted or not.

A free copy of the order be handed over to the learned counsel for the State.

Let a status report be called for from the learned trial Court i.e. learned Special Judge, Dhenkanal in C.T. (Special) N.D.P.S. Case No.14 of 2022.

For such purpose, the file be placed before the learned Registrar (Judicial) of this Court, who shall send a copy of this order to the Court concerned immediately through e-mail and status report shall be furnished through e-mail so as to reach this Court on or before 19.11.2024.

List this matter on 22.11.2024.
