CORAM:
JUSTICE BISWANATH RATH
[
Order ORDER No. 18.5.2022
2. 1. Heard learned counsel for the Parties.
2. A serious objection is made by Mr.Bhokta, learned CGC in the matter of renewal of Passport for pendency of a case involving the Petitioner on Atrocity Act along with other offences against the weaker section. However, taking cognizance on the submission of the learned counsel for the Petitioner that the Petitioner is already on bail, this Court finds, the claim of the Petitioner is squarely covered by the judgment of this Court in Asuthosh amrit Patnaik vrs. State of Orissa & ors (W.P.(C) No.4834 of 2022 disposed of on 23.3.2022). This Court accordingly directs the Passport Authority, O.P.2 to renew the Passport of the Petitioner conditionally but however under the terms and conditions set in the said decision.
3. The Writ Petition stands disposed of accordingly.
