04. 1. This matter is taken up through Hybrid Arrangement (Virtual/Physical Mode).

2. Mr. M. Chand, learned counsel appearing for the appellant has stated that the appellant has been suffering from serious unsoundness of mind. But no medical attendance has been provided to him. He urges this Court to seek a report from the Superintendent of Circle Jail, Berhampur.

3. We find no impediment in directing the Superintendent of Circle Jail, Berhampur to forward a report, in respect of the mental state of the appellant namely, S. Trinath @ Sanalu Trinath who has been suffering his imprisonment in the said jail, pursuant to the Judgment and order dated 05.11.2014 delivered in S.T. No.72 of 2012.

4. As such, the Superintendent of Circle Jail, Berhampur shall submit a report to this Court, regarding the mental state of the said prison inmate by the next date.

5. Let the matter be listed on 02.09.2022.

6. Registry is directed to supply a copy, free of cost to Mrs. S. Pattnaik, learned Additional Government Advocate for onward transmission for compliance of the direction above.
