Mr. Rustom, learned counsel appeared for the

petitioner/applicant; Mr. Athouba Khaidem, learned senior counsel assisted

by Mr. Phungyo Zingkhei, learned Deputy Government Advocate appeared

for the respondent Nos. 1 to 8 and Mr. Deepak Prasad Sahu, learned

counsel appeared for the respondent Nos. 9 & 10.

The present application has been filed with a prayer to allow

the devotees of Khurai Ahongpung temple/mandir, Tellipati to performthe

auspicious rituals/prayers on the occasion of 1st Saturday of Lamta (Meitei

Lunar Calendar month) commonly known as Lamta Thangja i.e. 21.02.2026

and on the last Saturday of Lamta (Meitei Lunar Calendar month) i.e.

14.03.2026 in the larger interest of the general public.
