The issue that arises for consideration in the present writ appeal is

whether Dr. Lairenjam Shangita Devi (respondent No. 6), was qualified to be

appointed as Assistant Professor in the Department of Paedodontics and Preventive

Dentistry at JNIMS, Imphal.

Mr. Lenin Hijam, learned Advocate General, Manipur, appearing on

behalf of the State as well as Mr. Y. Nirmolchand, learned senior counsel appearing

on behalf of the appellants, have invited out attention to communication dated

05.05.2022 with regard to verification of Experience Certificate in respect of

W.A. No. 83 of 2022 with others Page 1 Dr. Lairenjam Shangita Devi; Proceedings of the Meeting held on 14.02.2023 at

office chamber of Dean and Chairman, Fact Finding Committee in respect of Dr. L.

Shangita Devi; and Communication dated 16.12.2022, addressed by the Deputy

Secretary, Dental Council of India; to urge that Dr. Lairenjam Shangita Devi was

not qualified.

Mr. I. Denning, learned counsel appearing on behalf of Dr. Lairenjam

Shangita Devi (respondent No. 6), prays for and is granted two weeks' time to

obtain instructions in this behalf.

List on 03.12.2024.

In the meantime, the operation of the impugned judgment and order

dated 16.06.2022 passed in W.P. (C) No. 82 of 2022 shall remain stayed till the

next date of hearing.
