                     and willful disobedience in implementation of the order made in W.P.
                     (MD)No.16032 of 2025 dated 08.08.2025.

                                                             ORDER

This contempt petition is filed alleging disobedience of the

order of this Court dated 08.08.2025.

2.Today, when the contempt petition is taken up for hearing,

the Commissioner of the Karur Municipal Corporation, appeared in

person, in pursuant to the earlier direction of this Court. She has also

filed a status report stating that 60% of the demolition of unauthorised

construction has been completed. Since the subject building is located in

the residential area, the work is being carried out in a slow manner to

avoid any damage to the neighbouring building owners. For complete

demolition of the unauthorised building, she requests further time.

3.The learned counsel for the petitioner also submitted that

after issuance of the statutory notice, the process for demolition has

already been commenced.

4.In such view of the matter, let the authorities complete the

process of demolition within a period of four weeks from the date of

receipt of a copy of this order.
