PRAYER: Petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, to issue
a writ of mandamus directing the respondents to consider and dispose of the
petitioner's representation dated 29.01.2026 within a time frame to be fixed by
this Court and to verify and examine the videographic evidence pertaining to

the petitioner's long jump event conducted on 24.01.2026 during the
recruitment process, in a fair, transparent and objective manner to reassess
and re-evaluate the petitioner's performance on the basis of such verification
in accordance with the applicable recruitment rules and guidelines to award
appropriate marks and grading, including the grant of “Two Star” grading, if
the petitioner is found eligible upon such reassessment and consequently to
permit the petitioner to participate in the subsequent stages of the
recruitment process without prejudice to his candidature.

ORDER
This writ petition has been filed seeking a writ of mandamus
directing the respondents to consider and dispose of the representation dated
29.01.2026 said to have been submitted by the petitioner, within a time frame
to be fixed by this Court.
2. Today, when the matter is taken up for consideration, Mr.Veera
Kathiravan, learned Additional Advocate General, assisted by Mr.V.Om
Prakash, learned Government Advocate, who takes notice for the respondents,

placed before this Court a copy of the “Endorsement” bearing
Na.Ka.No.A-6/60/0780/2026, dated 09.03.2026, issued by the Tamil Nadu
Uniformed Services Recruitment Board, whereby the representation dated
29.01.2026 submitted by the petitioner was considered and rejected.
3. In the light of the same, the cause in this writ petition does not
survive.
4. Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed. In case the the
petitioner is aggrieved by the said “Endorsement” bearing
Na.Ka.No.A-6/60/0780/2026, dated 09.03.2026, issued by the Tamil Nadu
Uniformed Services Recruitment Board, it is open for the petitioner to take
appropriate steps in accordance with law. No costs.
