Learned Government Advocate furnished a copy of the written
instructions given by the Assistant Engineer, Water Resources Department,
Irrigation Section, Pappireddipatti, dated 06.09.2025, addressed to the
Government Pleader, High Court of Madras. The said letter reads as under:
With reference to the above case number, Thiru
P.T.Manickam, S/o Theerthagounder has filed a Writ Petition

No.13835/2021 before the Honourable High Court, Chennai
with a prayer for removing an encroachments in canal in
Thathampatti village of Pappireddipatti Taluk of Dharmapuri
District.
As per the above case, Tahsildar of Pappireddipatti had
been surveyed the above S.F.No. lands and issued
encroachers list on 13.3.25 and the boundary stones erected
in the S.F.No.fields both left and right side of the boundaries.
Based on that, Encroachment eviction notice has been issued
by Water Resources Department on 17.04.2025. Meanwhile,
the encroachers requested time for harvesting the crops
whatever in that land. Since the encroachments are
agriculture related encroachments, it had been removed by
the encroachers themselves. Hence it has been considered
as evicted status. This is for your kind information and further
necessary action please.
2. In view of the above written instructions given by the Assistant
Engineer, the Writ Petition stands closed. No costs.
