                To direct the 3rd respondent to mutate the patta in S.No.231/3B in No.4
                Poraiyur Village, cheyyur taluk, Chengalpattu District to the legal heirs of late
                Mr.Kannappa Naidu in lieu of the representation dated 23.02.2026 within a time
                frame fixed by this Court.

                                                       ORDER

This writ petition has been filed to direct the third respondent to mutate

the revenue records for the property morefully described in the prayer to this

writ petition in the name of the legal heirs of the late Mr.Kannappa Naidu based

on the petitioner’s representation dated 23.02.2026 within a time frame to be

fixed by this Court.

2. According to the petitioner, the first respondent has already, in his

proceedings dated 30.12.2025, directed the Tahsildar (the third respondent

herein) to issue patta for the property morefully described in the prayer to this

writ petition in the name of the late Mr.Kannappa Naidu, the father of the

petitioner. According to the petitioner, Mr.Kannappa Naidu has dead. The legal

heirship certificate for late Mr.Kannappa Naidu has also been filed as a

document along with this writ petition, which reveals that the petitioner and his

brother are his legal heirs.

3. The petitioner now seeks for mutation of the revenue records for the

subject property in the name of the petitioner and his brother, who are the legal

heirs of late Mr.Kannappa Naidu. Since the representation of the petitioner

dated 23.02.2026 has not been considered till date, this writ petition has been

filed.

4. Mr. R. P. Murugan Raja, learned Government Advocate accepts notice

on behalf of the respondents.

5. No prejudice would be caused to the respondents if the petitioner’s

representation as stated supra is considered on merits and in accordance with

law after giving due consideration to the supporting documents produced by the

petitioner along with the proceedings of the first respondent dated 30.12.2025

within a time frame to be fixed by this Court.

6. This Court is not expressing any opinion on the merits of the

petitioner’s representation.

7. For the foregoing reasons, this Court directs the third respondent to

pass final orders on merits and in accordance with law on the petitioner’s

representation dated 25.02.2026, seeking for mutation of revenue records for the

property morefully described in the prayer to this writ petition within a period

of twelve weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order after giving due

consideration to the supporting documents produced by the petitioner along

with the proceedings of the first respondent dated 30.12.2025.

8. Accordingly, this writ petition is disposed of. No Costs.
