                PRAYER: This Writ Petition is filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of
                India, for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, to forbear the respondent from
                continuing proceedings initiated pursuant to his summons in No.CHN/TN/
                22327/CC-1/16/ENf/ Regl/2015) dated 05.01.2015 and direct the respondent
                not to enforce the order, if any, issued till such time the Supreme Court
                pronounces its judgment on the issue.

                                                        ORDER

The Writ Petition is of the year 2015 and the same is pending more

than eight years. On 08.04.2024, when the matter was listed, there was no

representation for both sides. Even today when the matter is called, there is no

representation for the petitioner. However, the learned counsel for the

respondent is present.

2. In view of the long pendency and also due to non-representation

on behalf of the petitioner, this Writ Petition is dismissed as non-prosecution.

There shall be no order as to costs. Consequently, the connected Miscellaneous

Petition is closed.
