Civil Miscellaneous Appeal No.2085 of 2024

2. The marriage between the petitioner and the respondent was

solemnized on 06.07.2016. Due to martial discord, the petitioner/husband

filed I.D.O.P.No.266 of 2018 on the file of Principal District Court,

Thiruvallur, seeking divorce. In the said petition, the respondent filed

I.A.No.1 of 2019 seeking interim maintenance. The Court below, by the

impugned order, directed the petitioner/husband to pay a sum of

Rs.3,500/- p.m. as interim maintenance to respondent/wife. Aggrieved by

the said order, the present appeal has been filed.

3. Heard learned counsel for appellant and learned counsel for

respondent.

4. The Court has fixed only a sum of Rs.3,500/- towards monthly

interim maintenance payable by the petitioner/husband to the

respondent/wife. This Court is of the considered view that the order

passed by the Court below is very reasonable and there is no ground to

interfere with the same.
