Prayer: Writ Petition filed Under Article 226 of the Constitution of India
praying for issuance of Writ of Certiorarified Mandamus, calling for the
records relating to the issue of G.O.Ms.No.452 Finance (Pay Cell) Department
dated 31.12.2010 by the 1st respondent and quash the same in so far as not
giving the monetary benefit of arrears pursuant to the enhanced pay scales
ordered therein with effect from 01.08.2010 for Junior Electrical Inspectors,
Assistant Electrical Inspectors and Electrical Inspectors working under the 2nd
respondent and consequently to direct the respondents to pay the arrears of pay
pursuant to the revised pay scales ordered in the impugned G.O. with effect
from 01.08.2010 till date along with appropriate interest as may be fixed by
this Court from 01.09.2010 till the date of payment of the said arrears.

                                    ORDER

Today when the matter is taken up for hearing, the learned counsel

appearing for the petitioners submitted that in view of the judgment of the

Hon'ble Supreme Court in the case of Tamil Nadu Rural Development

Engineers and Assistant Engineers Association Vs. Government of

Tamil Nadu and others reported in (2020) 18 SCC 290, nothing survives for

consideration in the matter and the same may be closed. He also made an

endorsement to that effect in the case bundle.

2. In view of the submission coupled with the endorsement made by the

learned counsel for the petitioners, the Writ Petition is closed. No costs.
