PRAYER : Petition filed under Section 2(b) & 11 of the Contempt of
Courts Act, 1971 to punish the respondent herein for willful disobedience of
the judgment dated 22.08.2017 in OSA.Nos.192 to 195 of 2017 thereby
failing to vacate and hand over possession of the subject premises on or
before 30.04.2018 and also for violating his undertaking through affidavits
dated 12.09.2017 for vacating the subject premises without any reasonable
or sufficient cause.

ORDER
(The Order of the Court was made by S.S.SUNDAR, J)
This Contempt Petition is filed alleging willful disobedience of the
judgment dated 22.08.2017 in OSA.Nos.192 to 195 of 2017.
2. Today, the Administrator General and Official Trustee of Tamil
Nadu has filed a report indicating that in compliance of the direction of this
Court, the contemnor/respondent apart from paying a sum of Rs.6,50,000/-
through a Demand Draft and Rs.5,00,000/- vide a cheque dated 17.04.2023,
appeared before the office of the Administrator General and Official Trustee
of Tamil Nadu on 26.04.2023 and paid the remaining rental balance amount
of Rs.1,52,000/- in cash. It is reported that the entire amount due from the
respondent to the tune of Rs.13,02,000/- has been paid by the respondent.

3. This Court on 03.04.2023 recorded the handing over of possession
of the vacant premises. In view of the development and the report of the
Administrator General and Official Trustee of Tamil Nadu, we have noticed
that the respondent has complied with the order of this Court. Though there
is a delay in compliance, taking lenient view, recording the compliance, the
Contempt Petition is closed. Consequently, connected applications are
closed.
