                     Prayer: Writ petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India,
                     praying for the issuance of a Writ of Mandamus, directing the respondent to
                     afford an opportunity of personal hearing to the petitioner and dispose of his
                     appeal dated 02.01.2023 within a time frame stipulated by this Hon'ble Court
                     by issuing ST Kattunayakan community certificate to the petitioner on the
                     basis of the certificates issued to his nephew Raghul and Ranjith sons of
                     Murugan and niece Ranjani D/o Murugan.

                                                        JUDGMENT

(Judgment of the Court was made by D.KRISHNAKUMAR, J.)

According to the petitioner, aforesaid appeal petition has not

been disposed of by the respondent. Therefore, the petitioner has filed the

instant writ petition seeking Mandamus, to direct the respondent to dispose of

his appeal dated 02.01.2023.

2. The learned Special Government Pleader appearing for the

respondents has stated that the said appeal petition will be considered and

appropriate orders will be passed.

3. Recording the submission made by the learned Special

Government Pleader appearing for the respondents, without expressing any

opinion on merit, we are inclined to direct the respondents to consider the

petitioner's appeal petition dated 02.01.2023 as early as possible preferably

within a period of eight weeks from the date of receipt of copy of the order.

It is needless to say that the petitioner shall furnish a copy of the appeal

petition along with the copy of the order addressed to the respondent. No

costs.
