JUDGMENT

This Writ Appeal is directed against the interim order of this Court
dated 22.09.2021 made in W.P.(MD)No.17189 of 2021.
2.Mr.Veera.Kathiravan, learned Additional Advocate General
appearing for the appellants submitted that the Writ Court has passed an interim
order at the time of admission itself by giving positive direction to the appellants
to consider the claim of the respondent / writ petitioner on par with the similarly
placed persons, who have got the benefit of promotion for the post of Forester.
According to the appellants, the request of the respondent / writ petitioner
cannot be considered, since it can be decided only at the time of final disposal of

the Writ Petition and the Special Leave Petition has also been pending before the
Hon'ble Supreme Court of India. He further submitted that Contempt Petition in
Cont.P.(MD)No.945 of 2022 has also been filed before the learned Single Judge.
3.Mr.V.Panneer Selvam, learned counsel for the respondent / writ
petitioner submitted that the aforesaid Contempt Petition is posted along with
the Writ Petition and therefore, no further order is required to be passed in the
present Writ Appeal. He has also agreed that the respondent / writ petitioner will
abide by the decision to be taken in the Writ Petition and also not insisit for the
contempt proceedings.
4.Recording the aforesaid submission made on either side, this Writ
Appeal stands closed. No costs. Consequently, connected miscellaneous
petition is closed.
