Today, when the matter came up for hearing, learned counsel

produced the copy of the receipt issued by the respondent / complainant in

and by which the respondent / complainant has accepted the money paid

by the accused as full quit and has consent to drop all further proceedings

and compound the offence.

2. In view thereof, this criminal revision is disposed off on the

following terms:

(i) The conviction and sentence imposed on the

petitioner by a judgment of the Judicial Magistrate, Fast

Track Court II, Erode dated 27.03.2018 in STC.No.274

of 2016 and confirmed vide the judgment of the II

Additional District and Sessions Judge, Erode dated

01.08.2019 in Crl.A.No.142 of 2018 is set aside;

(ii) the offence is treated as compounded.
