                     PRAYER : This Criminal Appeal is filed under Section 374 (2) of Cr.P.C.,

                     against the conviction and sentence impose upon him by the learned Special

                     Judge under Prevention of Corruption Act/Chief Judicial Magistrate, Vellore,

                     Vellore District in Special Case No.6 of 2005 dated 14.11.2016 for the

                     offences under Section 7 of Prevention of Corruption Act.

                                                      JUDGMENT

This Criminal Appeal has been filed against the conviction and

sentence imposed upon the Appellant by the learned Special Judge under

Prevention of Corruption Act/Chief Judicial Magistrate, Vellore, Vellore

District in Special Case No.6 of 2005 dated 14.11.2016 for the offences

under Section 7 of Prevention of Corruption Act.

2.When the matter is taken up for hearing, it is represented that the

Appellant/sole Accused died. Death certificate of the deceased/Appellant

also produced before this Court.

3.In view of the death of the sole Accused/Appellant, the

proceedings stands abated. It is open to the legalheirs of the

deceased/Appellant to take appropriate steps, if he be so advised.

Accordingly, the Appeal dismissed as abated.
