Learned counsel for the petitioner by placing reliance on a Supreme Court judgment in Iqram vs. The State of Uttar Pradesh and others [SLP
(Crl) No. 8238 of 2022] decided on 16/12/2022 submits that this Court may interfere in the matter and may issue necessary directions that all the sentences mentioned in letter dated 14/02/2022 (Annexure P/3) must run concurrently and since by that standard, the petitioner has already undergone the necessary sentence of three years in January 2022, he be released forthwith.
Learned Government Advocate prays for and is granted 10 days' time to file reply.
Parties undertake to argue the matter finally in the week commencing 13/03/2023.
