The petitioner is challenging the rejection of his candidature for the post of police constable on the ground of registration of Criminal Case u/S.498-A of the IPC. He submits that he had mentioned the aforesaid fact in the attestation form and lateron he has been acquitted. He further submits that the aforesaid

offence is not included in the list of moral turpitude issued by the State. In support of his submissions he has placed reliance on the judgment passed by the Apex Court in the case of Pramod Singh Kirar Vs. State of MP Civil Appeal No.8934-8935/22 decided on 2.12.2022.

Issue notice to the respondents on payment of PF by registered mode returnable within four weeks.
