IN THE HIGH COURT OF MADHYA PRADESH AT GWALIOR CRA No. 348 of 2010 (LAXHMAN SINGH Vs STATE OF M.P.)

Dated : 09-02-2023 In compliance of order dated 23-01-2023, appellant Laxman Singh is

produced under execution of warrant by Head Constable Shri Chandan Singh, Police Station Karera, District Shivpuri due to non-appearance before Registry of this Court and he marked his presence before the Court.

Earlier, the jail sentence of appellant was suspended by this Court vide order dated 06-05-2010 in connection with present Criminal Appeal No.348 of

2010 arising out of judgment dated 29th April, 2010 passed by the Special Judge (Electricity), Karera, District Shivpuri in Special Sessions Trial No.404 of 2009 whereby the appellant has been convicted under Section 136(1)(c) of Indian Electricity Act, 2003 and sentenced to undergo rigorous imprisonment of three years with fine of Rs.3,000/- with default stipulation.

Appellant Laxman Singh submits that he is having no advocate to argue the matter.

Since this matter is pending since 2010, therefore, Shri Anand Purohit, Advocate whose name is in the list of Legal Aid Authority, Gwalior at Serial

No.43, is appointed as Counsel for appellant. Shri Purohit, seeks time to file Vaklatnama on behalf of appellant and thereafter he will argue the matter on the next date of hearing.

Office is directed to reflect name of Shri Anand Purohit as counsel for the appellant appointed through Legal Aid Authority in the daily cause list.

Appellant Laxman Singh be sent back to Central Jail, Gwalior by the same escort.
