                                   JUDGMENT

The petitioner's application for an Arms License was rejected by

the District Collector, Ernakulam, vide order dated 02.04.2024. Being

aggrieved by the said order of rejection of the application for an Arms

License, the petitioner preferred an appeal under Section 18 of the Arms

Act 1959 before the Land Revenue Commissioner, Thiruvananthapuram.

However, no decision has been taken on the said appeal.

2. The petitioner has now, therefore, filed this writ petition

seeking a direction to the respondent to consider and pass an order on

Ext.P1 appeal of the petitioner expeditiously.

3. Considering the limited prayer made in this petition, the writ

petition is disposed of with direction to the respondent to consider and

pass orders on Ext.P1 appeal preferred by the petitioner against the

order dated 02.04.2024 passed by the District Collector, Ernakulam,

expeditiously, preferably within two months, in accordance with the WP(C) NO. 37212 OF 2024

law, after giving opportunity of hearing to the petitioner, if a decision

has already not been taken on the said appeal.
