                             JUDGMENT

Petitioner is the wife of Convict No.381/21 of the Central

Prison, Kannur. The convict is undergoing life imprisonment in

connection with S.C.No.566 of 2015 on the files of the Additional

Sessions Court-II, Kasaragode. Petitioner alleges that she is

pregnant and is expected to deliver the child in the first week of

November and since she requires the assistance of her husband -

the convict, an application was submitted for emergency parole.

Ext.P2 is the said application dated 23.10.2024. Petitioner contends

that till date, no decision has been taken.

2. Having heard the learned counsel for the petitioner as

well as the learned Public Prosecutor, I am of the view that this writ

petition can be disposed of with a direction.

Since Ext.P2 is pending consideration before the 4 th

respondent, there will be a direction to the 4 th respondent to

consider and pass appropriate orders on Ext.P2, as expeditiously as

possible, at any rate, within a period of three days from the date of WP(CRL.) NO. 1171 OF 2024

2024:KER:81090 receipt of a copy of this judgment.

The writ petition is disposed of as above.
