                          JUDGMENT

(Dated this the 5th day of June 2024)

The petitioners are working as Anganwadi workers on

daily wages. They have claimed that they have priority in the

selection of permanent post. The 2nd respondent issued Ext.P1

Circular dated 3.2.2023 to prepare the priority list of

Anganwadi workers/helpers. Aggrieved by Ext.P1, the

petitioners filed a detailed representation (Ext.P2) before the

2nd respondent on 8.2.2023. It is submitted that there are

vacancies under respondent Nos.3 and 4 and more vacancies

are due to arise in 2024 due to the retirement of Anganwadi

workers.

2. The counsel for the petitioners submits that the

petitioners are eligible for priority in the case of permanent

appointment. Taking into consideration that Ext.P2 is pending

from 8.2.2023, I direct the 2nd respondent to take up Ext.P2 and

to pass appropriate orders within a period of 6 weeks from the

date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. The petitioners are

free to produce a copy of the writ petition before the 2nd

respondent.

The Writ Petition is disposed of.
