                            JUDGMENT

Dated this the 12th day of January, 2023

The petitioner was a student of the 4 th respondent

School from where he appeared for the Secondary School

Examination, 2017. The petitioner passed the Secondary

School Examination and was issued with Ext.P1 certificate.

In the certificate, the petitioner's name is wrongly entered

as Naseeb instead of Naseeb M.P. For getting the mistakes

corrected, the petitioner has submitted an application before

the 4th respondent School with a request to forward it to the

3rd respondent. This writ petition is filed aggrieved by the

inaction on the part of the respondents.

2. Heard learned Counsel for the petitioner and the

learned Standing Counsel for the CBSE.

3. Learned Standing Counsel submits that till date,

the application submitted by the petitioner along with

accompanying documents is not received by the 3rd

respondent. The correction can be effected only on receipt of

the application and after verification of the documents.

The writ petition is accordingly disposed of, permitting

the petitioner to submit a fresh application for correction

along with requisite documents before the 4 th respondent

within two weeks. On such application being filed, the same

shall immediately be forwarded to the 3rd respondent.

Necessary action for carrying out the correction in the

original of Ext.P1 certificate shall be taken by the 3 rd

respondent within one month of receipt of the application.
