                         JUDGMENT

The petitioner is the accused in C.C.No.376 of 2017 on the

file of the Judicial First Class Magistrate Court-I, Sulthan Bathery.

The prayer sought for in this original petition is to expedite the

trial of the case and complete the same in a time frame. When this

original petition came up for consideration on 13.12.2022, a report

was called for from the learned Magistrate as to the present status

of the case and the time required for completing the trial. In

response to the same, a report dated 26.12.2022 has been placed

on record, wherein it is mentioned that the trial of the aforesaid

calendar case can be completed within a period of eight months.

Considering the aspects mentioned in the said report, I find that

the period specified therein is reasonable. In such circumstances,

this original petition is disposed of directing the Judicial First

Class Magistrate Court-I, Sulthan Bathery to complete the trial of

C.C.No.376 of 2017 within a period of eight months from the date

of production of a copy of this judgment.
