JUDGMENT
Dated this the 31st day of August, 2022.
The petitioners allege that, in spite of more than
four months after Exts.P8 to P10 Rank Lists have been
published, no advices from it have been made by the 1 st
respondent - Co-operative Service Examinations Board,
nor to the 3rd respondent Kasargode Public Servants Co-
operative Society Ltd offered them appointment, even
though they are ranked highest therein. They thus
prayed that the 1st respondent - Co-operative Service
Examination Board be directed to issue Advice Memos in
their favour, without any further delay, so that they can

obtain appointment under the 3rd respondent.
2. However, Smt.S.L.Sylaja - learned Standing
Counsel for the Examination Board, responded to the
afore request of the petitioners, as made by their learned
Counsel - Sri.B.K.Gopalakrishnan, saying that there are
mistakes in the Rank List; and therefore, that an
addendum will have to be now published. She submitted
that the process for the same is now underway and that
said addendum will be issued without any further delay.
3. Sri.M.Sasindran - learned Standing Counsel for
the Society, submitted that the competent authority to
issue Advice Memos from the Rank List is the 1 st
respondent; and therefore, that his client has no role at
this stage.

4. When I hear Smt.S.L.Sylaja on the afore lines,
it is clear that the stand of the Examination Board is that
there are errors in the Rank List and that it will have to
be revised. However, since the petitioners have already
been ranked high - in some of them, even as 1st rank - I
am certain that any such exercise can be done only after
hearing them also.
5. In the afore circumstances, I direct the 1 st
respondent to hear the petitioners and take necessary
action with respect to the Rank List in question, leading
to issuance of Advice Memos therefrom or from the
addendum list to be issued, as expeditiously as is
possible, but not later than one month from the date of
receipt of a copy of this judgment.

Needless to say, if the petitioners are so advised,
then the 3rd respondent will appoint them as per law,
without any delay thereafter.
This writ petition is thus ordered.
