        Prayer for interim relief in the Writ Appeal stating that in the
   circumstances stated in the appeal memorandum, the High Court be pleased
   to issue an interim direction to the 2nd respondent Mahatma Gandhi
   University to approve the promotion of the appellant as Professor from
   01.01.2009, the date of his eligibility.

        This Writ Appeal coming on for orders on 07.09.2021 upon perusing
   the appeal memorandum, the court on the same day passed the following:

The learned counsel for the respondent University seeks time to file a statement, indicating the date with effect from which the benefit of promotion as Professor under the Career Advancement Scheme can be extended to the appellant.
