                              JUDGMENT

This writ petition is filed seeking the following prayers:

"(i) issue a writ of mandamus or such other writ, direction or order compelling the 2nd respondent to consider and pass orders on Exhibit P2 correcting the name of the father of the child forthwith, within a time frame to be fixed by this Honourable Court"

2. Heard the learned counsel for the petitioner, the learned

Government Pleader as well as the learned counsel appearing for the

2nd respondent.

3. In view of the fact that the petitioner has submitted Ext.P2

application for correction in the Birth Certificate issued to the

petitioner, I am of the opinion that the said application is liable to be

considered in accordance with law.

4. There will, accordingly, be a direction to the 2 nd respondent to

take up Ext.P2 application and to consider and pass orders on the

same, after following all due procedures, within a period of one

month from the date of receipt of a copy of this judgment. WP(C) NO. 24583 OF 2021

This writ petition is ordered accordingly.
