Dated this the 30th day of July, 2021
O R D E R
A memo has been submitted by the learned
Senior Government Pleader - Sri.S.Kannan,
producing along with it certain documents.
Annexure-R1(j) shows that in the Quality Audit,
earlier directed to be conducted by this Court,
96 BEVCO shops have been found wanting in basic
requirements, and that they have been,
consequently, directed to be shifted by the
Excise Commissioner.
2. These are certainly some welcome steps
taken by the Excise Commissioner; though it has
taken four years after the judgment had been
delivered.
3. Now that the Excise Commissioner has
issued the afore order, it is for the BEVCO to
find alternative places and to shift these 96
shops.
Con.Case(C) No.982/2021 4/4
Cont. Case (C)No.982 of 2021
I, therefore, adjourn this matter to be called
on 11.08.2021, to await further action in this
regard.
Needless to say, the respondents must properly
evaluate the other remaining shops and make sure
that they do not, in any manner, cause any
obstruction or nuisance to any other persons, on
account of its functioning.
