ORAL JUDGMENT
This appeal is filed by the appellant/claimant under
Section 173(1) of Motor Vehicles Act, 1988 challenging the
judgment and award dated 20.12.2024 passed in
ECA No. 14/2020 on the file of the Prl. Senior Civil Judge
and CJM, Tumakuru, to examine and modify the award
and to assess the compensation.
2. Learned counsel for the appellant submits that
the appellant who is a workman sustained injuries and
filed claim petition, claiming compensation of Rs.10 lakhs
and the tribunal granted Rs.9,98,304/- with interest at the
rate of 12% p.a., from 20.5.2020, i.e., one month
subsequent to the accident till the realization.

3. During the pendency of the appeal, both parties
appeared before the Court along with their counsels and
filed joint compromise petition under XXIII Rule 3 of the
CPC.
4. Learned counsel for both sides are present.

5. Submission of both the parties is placed on
record.
In view of joint compromise between the parties and
in terms of the compromise, this appeal is disposed of .
